Cromwell Architects Engineers, a global, full-service architecture, engineering, and building services firm headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, is expanding its offices to Charlotte, creating 20 jobs in the region. “After studying several major metro areas, Charlotte consistently ranked at the top of our key categories," President Dan Fowler said. "Proximity to great talent, access to our clients in the mid-Atlantic region, and the pro-business environment were key factors in our decision." Driven by remarkable student and research success, University of North Carolina at Charlotte has achieved significant recognition in the newly released 2025 Best Colleges rankings. The University climbed to No. 81 among U.S. public universities—an impressive 15-spot improvement—and reached its highest national ranking at No. 152 among 434 institutions. Since 2020, Charlotte has surged 76 spots, making it the fastest-rising national university in the Carolinas! Chancellor Sharon L.
