March is Women's History Month! We are highlighting Andrea Schermoly and her exciting new creation for our Company Dancers, taking the stage this May. Her world-premiere retelling of Carmen presents the story of a woman, told by woman. ? A South African choreographer and Louisville Ballet's first female resident choreographer, Schermoly brings a stellar background in dance (and Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics!) and we can't wait to see what she creates. "We make art but also entertainment. Expect an action movie on stage, but with the beauty of movement and the dancers' physicality that only this art form can provide."? ? See Carmen May 2-11 at Knight Theater! Visit the link below to read more and get your tickets today https://lnkd.in/e56pUFZS

Thank you to Charlotte Magazine and for the beautiful story on our annual production of Nutcracker! It was another magical year of performances and we loved being able to share this beloved story on the stage once again. If you missed this season's Nutcracker, we hope you will join us next December! Another special thank you to Jeff Cravotta for taking gorgeous photos that show all the fun and hard work that takes place behind the scenes!
Missing the holiday season? If you're with me that Nutcracker is one of the best things about it, check out the March issue of Charlotte Magazine, which goes behind the scenes of Charlotte Ballet's production.
