DANCING WITH THE STARS! We got to teach Spot, the star robot of Boston Dynamics, a few steps when they graciously invited a few of our staff for a visit!

The geniuses over at Boston Dynamics were kind enough to give us a tour of their facility, where we met a very friendly robot dog named Spot.

Another amazing day at work today as we took a field trip over to Boston Dynamics, and I got some quality time with 'Spot' and his friends. As a museum of industrial technology from the 19th and 20th centuries, Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation tells the story of historical innovation, but we also want to inspire the next generation of innovators. As part of that effort, we partner with great organizations doing amazing work in this space - companies like Boston Dynamics. At our Charles River Collaboratory, our partner organization Boston College helps teach high school students the skills and knowledge they need to pursue potential career paths in STEM and the next generation of skilled work. Thank you so much to Ron Pulicari for being such a welcoming host and for being so generous with your time - I know the Charles River Museum team will be buzzing about this for a long time! Looking forward to building this relationship between organizations at the inception of the Industrial Revolution, and on the cutting edge of the next century of innovation ahead!

ChopValue Boston Production is our latest Course Correctors highlighted exhibit! Come by the Museum to find out more about this innovative company seeking to mitigate the waste and carbon footprint created by the humble chopstick!
Babson College featured our partnership recently in an article highlighting the custom table we made for their new Entrepreneurship Leadership Village. We also just dropped off custom sustainable gifts for their grads school team to use throughout the year. I love how they are as committed to supporting local entrepreneurs as they are to educating the next gen! Many thanks to Jerry Epps. CSDP, Beth J. Bristol, Ph.D. for your support of these recent projects. Appreciate you!

Unveiling now is our latest entry in our "Course Correctors" series of exhibits confronting negative aspects of industry’s legacy by spotlighting companies whose people, processes, and/or products seek to profitably mitigate at scale historically destructive effects that various industries have had on our world. Here we highlight ChopValue Boston, who collect thousands of chopsticks from area restaurants that would otherwise be thrown away. The bamboo chopsticks are repurposed into furniture, home decor and more, sequestering the carbon that would otherwise be released during their biodegradation.
