Are you a National Board Certified Teacher? Are you interested in helping other teachers get certified? The Charles Butt Foundation is excited to announce a new initiative, the Texas Teachers Collaborative, specifically designed to support rural school district teachers to strengthen instructional practices and support reflective teaching. We are seeking to establish our first cohort of rural school teachers in three regions across Texas that will earn National Board Certification. In our research, mentoring support and a cohort model were key to higher certification rates. As such, we are reaching out to Texas NBCTs to serve as *compensated* mentors for our inaugural cohort. This work would involve guiding candidates through the philosophy and expectations of the national board certification process as well as offering refining feedback. We will also be working with technical advisors and district’s to create an ecosystem of support so that our candidates may successfully complete their national board journey.
