We are thrilled to welcome The Service Center, a $29M development, to the Charles Village Community Benefits District! Nearly 75% of its apartments and all office spaces are leased even before opening. A special welcome to the CollegeBound Foundation and Wide Angle Youth Media, relocating their headquarters here to support Baltimore’s youth through education and media arts. The Service Center aims to be the most civically engaged building in the city, connecting residents with local volunteer opportunities. https://lnkd.in/eSh_hWFN

It’s not just any festival — it’s one of America’s LARGEST FREE outdoor arts festivals, bringing creative vibes to Baltimore since 1982. Originally crafted to showcase Baltimore’s cultural flair, Artscape has been a driving force for community support, economic growth, and investment in the Mount Vernon, Bolton Hill, Charles North, and Station North Arts Districts. We’re especially excited to see The “Queen of Funk,” Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, and 10-time Grammy winner Chaka Khan, who will be the Friday night headliner! #Artscape2024
Get ready, Baltimore! #Artscape, the nation’s largest free arts festival, returns to Charm City from August 2-4. Spanning Mount Vernon and the Station North Arts & Entertainment District, Artscape will offer a vibrant lineup of artists, live concerts, family-friendly activities, films, comedy, literary events, and tasty treats. This year's headliners include Chaka Khan, Sheila E., and The Original Wailers. The festival will run Friday from 5-11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information and full programming, visit https://rb.gy/y9oyof #BaltimoreTogether #InvestInPeopleandPlaces

Reflecting on an Inspiring Week at Placemaking Week in Baltimore! Last week, our leadership team had the incredible opportunity to participate in Placemaking Week in Baltimore! It was an amazing professional development experience, connecting with place-based and community organizations from all over the world. ?? We were particularly inspired by several local projects that are making a significant impact in our community: ?? Ghost River Project: Highlighting and promoting hidden streams, this initiative is uncovering the natural beauty and history of our local waterways. ?? Station North Tool Library: A fantastic resource for residents, offering short-term rentals for home improvement projects. It’s empowering community members to enhance their homes with the tools they need. ?? the Neighborhood Design Center: Their work in building equity through community-led design is truly transformative. They are creating spaces that are welcoming, fun, and safe for everyone. Learning about these projects and many others has energized our team with new ideas and a renewed commitment to our own placemaking efforts. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success, and we look forward to continuing the conversation and collaboration! #PlacemakingWeek #CommunityEngagement #Baltimore #ProfessionalDevelopment #Leadership #GhostRiverProject #StationNorthToolLibrary #NeighborhoodDesignCenter #EquityInDesign #CommunityEmpowerment
