The Jermyn Street team marked this exciting moment with an iconic ribbon-cutting to re-open Charles Tyrwhitt's oldest store. With a fresh new charm, an elevated shopping experience in our exclusive 'Executive Lounge', and a delightful partnership with Nespresso to offer our customers a free coffee and newspaper on opening day – what’s not to love? Back in January, our colleagues in the Distribution Centre welcomed the Year of the Snake and celebrated with a wonderful tradition—Spring Couplets (春聯,?Chūnlián). Spring couplets are a traditional Chinese decoration used during Lunar New Year to bring good fortune, happiness, and prosperity. They consist of red strips of paper with positive phrases written in black or gold ink, typically placed on both sides of a doorway to welcome luck into the home. ?? 春?(Spring) – A new start, a fresh chapter ?? 福?(Luck) – Good fortune and prosperity 新年快樂?|?恭喜發財?|?事事如意 Happy New Year! Our newest store in the estate, and our 2nd new store opening in the USA this financial year, see's us nestled quaintly within the newest Bicester Collection luxury shopping village in Elmont,?New York.?It is adjacent to the brand-new sports and entertainment UBS Arena, home to the NY Islanders hockey team, as well as the historic Belmont Racetrack,?which holds the Belmont Stakes - one race of the famed Triple Crown! We're starting 2025 as we ended 2024, with continued growth and more new stores! Welcome to Charles Tyrwhitt - Team Norwich! Did you know that the city of Norwich's mascot is the yellow Canary? Dating back to 19th century breeding, the canary is what Norwich is renowned for and is the nickname of the city's football club. Our first store in East Anglia will feel right at home then with our yellow door and green wall among the favourite colours of the town! Not to mention our loyal customer base welcoming us with open arms! The Norwich team will be lead by our newest Store Manager Chris Colwell and has opened the doors this week with our new season range to lead the charge into spring. Back in November, we teamed up with Prostate Cancer UK, the UK's leading men's health charity. Together, we wanted to spread the crucial message that men need to be aware of their risk of prostate cancer—the most common cancer in men. It’s a startling reality that 1 in 8 men will be told they have prostate cancer. The real kicker is that early stage prostate cancer often has no signs or symptoms, so until we have a national screening programme, we’re reliant on the proactivity of men to know their risk, and take action, to be diagnosed early enough to cure. Throughout the month we championed the Prostate Cancer UK Risk Checker and we’re thrilled that 400 of our customers have used the quick & easy 30-second tool. Crucially, 251 were identified as high risk and advised to speak to their GP. ? Thanks to the generosity of Charles Tyrwhitt customers, we’ve raised ￡18,500 for Prostate Cancer UK. These funds will support research efforts to transform testing, treatment, and care, as well as their push for a national screening programme. Such a programme could save thousands of lives by providing regular, accurate tests for men at risk. ? We’re proud to support Prostate Cancer UK’s vision of a world where no man dies of prostate cancer and look forward to what we can achieve together in 2025 and beyond. ?
