The knocking at the door and being served with a summons out of the blue is unsettling, and not to mention, it comes with significant potential impacts and necessary precautions that must be addressed immediately. Recent legislative changes have repealed statutes of limitations on sexual abuse claims in several states. This has resulted in hundreds of claims being filed by alleged victims for incidents that occurred decades ago.
