Charity Blooms is a nonprofit grower located in Aurora, Illinois. We are a local 501c3 all volunteer organization that manages community gardens, starts plants for home growers, and provides educational programs focused on healthy eating. We grow thousands of pounds of produce annually with the help of hundreds of volunteers. Our fresh vegetables supplement the offerings of the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry to approximately 1000 families every week. We now offer over 100 different kinds of herbs and vegetables. Everything we grow is donated to the Community. We never charge for any produce or programming that we offer. This Giving Tuesday, we aim to raise money to offer a spring planting class to as many local youth as possible. We will use the funds to purchase seeds, potting soil, pots and labels. The classes will be offered at Marie's Urban Farm at 835 N. Highland Ave in Aurora for free to anyone that would like to participate.
