At 22, Scott Imbrie was pronounced quadriplegic after a car accident. Through years of therapy, he regained movement and underwent specialized surgery in 2020 at the University of Chicago. Now, Imbrie participates in a study exploring how the motor cortex sends and receives sensory data. He can control a robotic hand through motor imagery and even feel sensations through it.
