We're excited to share Charge Health's peer-reviewed publication in The Journal of Nursing Administration! ? https://lnkd.in/gGrkg5eP This article highlights our impact from building cultures of positivity and belonging at major health systems.?Simply playing Charge Health improves caregivers’ likelihood to recommend working for their organization by 9%! Over 50% of caregivers leaving their positions cite lack of connection to purpose as the key driver.?Charge Health is a fast, effective way to connect caregivers to the importance of their work through positivity and peer support. This publication highlights the outcomes that are possible when we meet caregivers where they are and build cultures where everyone feels like they belong. Most importantly, caregivers love using Charge Health because it is actually fun.?The Chief Nursing Officer cited in the JONA article said it best: “People may think oh it’s just a little game, but the power is in how it transforms our culture.” ? Here are some highlights: "A study among 273 hospitals in 35 states on RN turnover and retention found that 50% of nurses plan to change positions within a year." "A 13.5% increase from 2021 to 2022 raised the average cost of turnover for 1 staff RN to $52,350, and each percent change in overall RN turnover will cost or save the average hospital $380,600 per year." "A meta-analysis of 18 quantitative, 2 mixed-methods, and 4 qualitative studies showed that a third of the variability in nurse burnout depended on whether nurses felt supported by their peers." "Perceived social support is critical in coping with nurse burnout because what is even more important than actual social support for a caregiver's emotional well-being is the caregiver's perception of receiving support, respect, and consideration from others."
