Elevating People leaders to deliver the employee moments that matter most ??
关于我们
The challenge people leaders face is that the employee experience design process resides across distributed teams, disparate HR systems, and in many cases, spreadsheets & powerpoints. Once people programs are launched, there’s an initial buzz, then they get swept under the rug in sixty days and it’s onto the next burning need. Creating & executing best-in-class people programs to treat employees like internal customers is extremely manual and time-consuming—they include many moving parts such as goals, branding, content, communications, timeline, rewards, and ROI. In the hybrid workplace, there’s no effective way to manage this. We’re here to change that—our goal is to elevate the role of people leaders everywhere and help them to sustain their people program utilization over time. We’re empowering them to showcase the impact of the people org to their leadership team & board while helping them to get executive buy-in and unlock more budget internally to experiment & run innovative people programs. ChangeEngine’s founder DNA is the fusion between HR & Marketing Tech with RolePoint co-founders and Gigya, WorkSpan, & Sendoso execs. Come ride the tidal wave with us: [email protected]

?? Did you know? Studies show that friendships are often formed based on proximity, shared experiences, and life stage. This phenomenon, known as the propinquity effect, suggests that individuals are more likely to form relationships with those they encounter frequently. We often spend more time with colleagues than with family or friends, making work a natural place for building relationships and deepening conversations. March is National Reading Month, and there’s no better time to bring people together through books! That’s why launching a workplace book club is about more than reading—it’s about: ? Strengthening team bonds across departments ?? Encouraging diverse perspectives and learning ?? As we’re hiring, we’ve been hearing the same thing from candidates: “I’m looking for a good culture.” But what does that actually mean? ?? For us, culture isn’t just perks—it’s creating spaces and opportunities for people to connect, chat outside of meetings, and have spontaneous ideas emerge. Many offices have tried designing physical “collision spaces” for this to happen naturally. In remote or hybrid work, we do it intentionally with tea times, game days, and shared experiences. ??? Startups move fast, and when you’re working remotely across different time zones, it’s easy to feel disconnected. That’s why at ChangeEngine, we make it a priority to create intentional moments for our team—our ChangeMakers—to bond beyond work. One way we do this? Monthly Game Days. ?? Whether it’s Jeopardy, trivia, or a friendly (but very competitive ??) showdown, these moments give us a chance to laugh, learn, and build the kind of trust that fuels collaboration. The best part? Building this kind of culture doesn’t have to be big or expensive. It’s about consistency—because real culture is something you practice, not just something you post about. If you’re looking to build more connection in your own team, we’ve put together some free resources and templates to help: ?? Game Day Guide → https://hubs.li/Q038R7Md0 ?? ?? Reminder: Employee Appreciation Day is next Friday, March 7th! ?? But let’s be real—appreciation shouldn’t be a one-day event. Employees want to feel valued, heard, and supported year-round. When appreciation is just a one-off pizza party or a shoutout during tough times, it can feel performative rather than genuine. The reality? Many employees don’t feel appreciated enough. A recent study found that 63% of employees feel like they don’t get enough recognition at work—and that lack of appreciation leads to: ?? Lower morale ?? Decreased productivity ?? Higher turnover (Source: Gallup, "The Power of Recognition") Yes, a pizza party can be great (we’re not here to shame a free lunch or beloved pizza ??) But instead of checking the box on Employee Appreciation Day, use it as a starting point to train managers and leaders on how to build genuine relationships and a culture of recognition year-round. We have free Employee Appreciation Content Kit and templates that help build cultures of appreciation. PeopleContent: https://hubs.ly/Q038Bncb0 EmployeeAppreciator: https://hubs.ly/Q038Bn0S0 Pro Tip: Appreciation is most impactful when it’s specific, not generic. Instead of: "Thanks for your hard work!" Try: "I really appreciate how you took the initiative to streamline the onboarding process. Your attention to detail and ability to make it more efficient have saved the team a lot of time and improved the experience for new hires!" Specificity makes people feel truly seen. How does your company make employees feel valued beyond just one day? Drop your thoughts below! ??

As February bids farewell and March steps in, we want to take a moment to thank you. In a world evolving at lightning speed -- every day, you show up, adapt, and face the unknown. We also wanted to continue providing valuable (and free) resources to help support our leaders and teams. With AI reshaping the way we work, companies everywhere are focused on informing, educating, and equipping employees to adopt and keep up with AI in secure and compliant ways. But as everything becomes increasingly digital, it’s just as important to celebrate the human connections that make our workplace special. This month, we’re embracing innovation, appreciation, and connection—whether it’s diving into AI enablement, recognizing the incredible people we work with on Employee Appreciation Day, or honoring the strength and achievements of women on International Women’s Day. And of course, we can’t forget the lighter moments that bring us together to celebrate, make a difference, or indulge —Mardi Gras, Global Recycling Day, and a slice of humble (Pi) pie! ?? And a quick reminder: Parts of the world will be adjusting their clocks for Daylight Saving Time this month. Even though most devices update automatically, the shift can still impact workflows, routines, and even our body clocks—so be mindful of global teammates and clients navigating the change. Let’s make every moment count and continue building a workplace filled with positivity, progress, and people-first innovation. ??

Hybrid and remote work are here to stay—but keeping employees engaged in these models requires intentional communication. ?? To help, we’ve created free internal content templates for HR teams and managers: ? Managing a hybrid team effectively: https://hubs.li/Q037Qs370 ? Communicating flexible WFH benefits: https://hubs.li/Q037QHkF0 ? Hosting virtual events that boost engagement: https://hubs.li/Q037QmWc0 While return-to-office policies dominate discussions, 80% of the global workforce—about 2.7 billion people in industries like manufacturing and healthcare—have never gone remote yet have always been deskless. They aren’t sitting at a desk reading emails or Slack messages all day, making communication a constant and separate challenge. That’s why we offer templates for digital displays and signage in additional content kits designed specifically for these environments as well. ?? Would a "Return to Work Content Kit" still be helpful? ??? What kind of internal content have you needed (or will you need) to create? Let us know! ??
