Latino voters will be a decisive force in the 2024 election, with key issues like the economy, immigration, and abortion at the forefront. Change Research surveys reveal sharp contrasts between Latino men and women on several topics. Latina women are particularly concerned about a potential second term for Donald Trump, citing threats to women’s rights and bodily autonomy. Meanwhile, Latino men are more ideologically mixed, with many focused on economic issues like inflation and employment. Latino voters’ perspectives are diverse, yet they remain highly motivated, ready to shape the outcome of the election. ?? A Snapshot of Voter Sentiments toward JD Vance and Tim Walz ?? As we head into the 2024 election, public opinion on VP candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz reveals the polarized nature of today’s electorate. ?? JD Vance is largely viewed negatively nationwide with a net favorability of -14%. While highly favored among Republicans (+69% net favorability), he struggles with Democrats (-86%) and younger voters (-22%). Ethnic and educational demographics also show significant divides, with particularly unfavorable sentiment among Black and Hispanic voters. ?? Tim Walz, meanwhile, maintains a balanced profile with a slight net favorability of 4%. Democrats overwhelmingly support him (+82%), but Republicans hold a highly negative view (-80%). Walz’s Midwest ties yield mixed reactions, and independents remain critical with a net favorability of -12%. These figures highlight the deep divides in voter opinions based on party, age, and education. As the 2024 race continues, these dynamics will be key in shaping outcomes.
