Do Most Americans Really Support Mass Deportation? In recent headlines, we've seen reports claiming that the majority of Americans support mass deportations of undocumented immigrants. But as usual, the details reveal a different picture. When we ask Americans to weigh real policy options with specifics, we see a story of compassion and pragmatism: *A pathway to citizenship is favored by 65% of respondents, far outpacing support for mass deportation. *Even among Republicans, support for deportation is not overwhelming—only 55% prefer deportation, with 38% preferring legal pathways. *And for Trump’s extensive, costly mass deportation plan? A majority oppose it outright. The complexity of immigration calls for nuanced solutions, and the data shows Americans lean towards inclusivity and balanced approaches over drastic measures. Headlines don’t always capture the full story, but understanding these insights can help us advocate for policies that reflect what Americans truly value. cc: Ben Greenfield https://lnkd.in/ewvJFAXK

Change Research’s polling shows a very close race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, with the real battleground for the 2024 election being moveable voters—the 13% of likely voters who could swing either way or choose a third-party candidate. Here’s what they care about. While Harris outperforms Trump on abortion and environmental policy, these voters don’t trust either candidate on key issues like inflation, healthcare, and foreign policy. Harris has an edge with 35% planning to vote for her, but 33% are leaning third-party, and 24% are undecided. Moveable voters – – undecideds, those considering a third-party vote, or those unsure about Harris’s performance – are a mix of young, diverse individuals (37% under 35 and 45% nonwhite) who are weighing economic concerns like inflation, housing costs, and healthcare above all else. The 2024 election will be won or lost at the margins. Winning over these movable voters will be crucial for both campaigns. #Election2024 #MovableVoters #PollingInsights #KamalaHarris #DonaldTrump #PoliticalTrends #ChangeResearch #PoliticalStrategy

Latino voters will be a decisive force in the 2024 election, with key issues like the economy, immigration, and abortion at the forefront. Change Research surveys reveal sharp contrasts between Latino men and women on several topics. Latina women are particularly concerned about a potential second term for Donald Trump, citing threats to women’s rights and bodily autonomy. Meanwhile, Latino men are more ideologically mixed, with many focused on economic issues like inflation and employment. Latino voters’ perspectives are diverse, yet they remain highly motivated, ready to shape the outcome of the election.
