Celebrating our very own Ben Trockman - newly elected City Council PRESIDENT of Evansville, IN. So proud of his work to make his community an inclusive, welcoming and vibrant place to live for everyone. Not to mention, the man has never met a stranger. Ben's compassion, smarts, humor and honesty make him a truly special colleague, advocate, elected official and most important, a dedicated friend - Evansville is so lucky to have him (and so are we!). Evansville, I am profoundly grateful and honored. I found my voice for advocacy as a local ambassador for Easterseals in 2010, and I haven't turned back since! I've fought for legislation in the state house in Indy. I've pushed for the passage of multiple bills in DC. And now, after being elected by my fellow counselors, I have the honor of leading our Evansville City Council as President, absolutely the most exciting step in my role in government, yet. I'm thrilled to take my leadership, advocacy and legislative efforts to the next level. Thank you, each of you, for your support along the way, and your trust in me in my new role.
