Six CUSD elementary schools were treated to an exciting performance from the East Valley Pops Orchestra on Wednesday, March 5! The audience, filled with 4th-6th graders, included students who will have the opportunity to pick up an instrument in the next school year. The orchestra inspired students by playing classic themes and music while educating them on the differences between instruments. ?? ?? ?? What made the event even sweeter? CUSD received $10,000 total in support of music education programs at the participating schools, thanks to the generosity of the orchestra and community members. #WeAreChandlerUnified

March 2-8, 2025 is National School Social Work Week! ?? Please join us in this opportunity to acknowledge and recognize the impactful work our CUSD school social workers do to support students, families, and the community. This year's theme, "Unite to Ignite: Celebrating our Impact," highlights the vital role school social workers play in fostering connections, advocating for supports, and enhancing vital life skills. “In the tapestry of education, school social workers are the threads of compassion, weaving empathy, support, and understanding into the fabric of students' lives. National School Social Work Week is a canvas to celebrate their profound impact a masterpiece of care, advocacy, and transformative influence," said Dr. Terriyln Rivers-Cannon, Former Board President for the School Social Work Association of America. Let's honor the difference our school social workers make as they work together and empower others to overcome challenges, ensuring that all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. School social workers unite communities to ignite positive change! #WeAreChandlerUnified
