What a great discussion at #PDC2025! David Glover, Principal at Champlin | EOP, joined an expert panel to explore how thoughtful planning, design, and construction can improve pediatric behavioral health care—expanding inpatient beds, integrating technology, and creating safer, healing spaces. A huge thanks to our fellow panelists from CannonDesign, Danis, HEAPY, and Dayton Children's Hospital for sharing their expertise. Some key statistics were shared to show the urgent community needs of Pediatric Behavioral health care facilities: ?? 7,000+ kids in crisis were seen at Dayton Children’s Hospital in 2023 ?? Suicide ideation was the #1 reason for admission ?? 1,022 kids were admitted for self-harm or depression in 2022 ?? 11% projected increase in demand for inpatient mental health (2019-2024) The demand for better spaces is growing, and meaningful change starts with conversations like this. ??#ThinkChamplin #EOP #HealthcareDesign #BehavioralHealth #PediatricCare #InnovationInDesign #ASHE #PDCSummit
