I'm incredibly proud of the Chain.io team for our data processing success rates so far this year! In theory, this means if you send 1,000,000 documents through our platform, 4 will fail with a technical error. In practice, this number is MUCH LOWER. We monitor for every failure and have a real human work with the customer to remediate the issue in real time. We do all of this with ZERO DEV OPS staff. Our engineers own the stack and work tirelessly to make sure it's rock solid. Huge shout out to Charles Shopsin for taking a leadership position on this for the last 7 years. This takes incredible engineering discipline and patience.

Every supply chain team has its version of this moment: An urgent email: New tariffs are live Suddenly, every plan is obsolete. You’re chasing HS codes, scrambling to re-route, and explaining delays to execs who don’t care about excuses. But the best teams don’t panic. They’ve already built flexibility into their networks. Automated classification tools. Flexible supplier data. Playbooks for what-if scenarios. Tariff changes don’t have to break your supply chain. Check out our tariff resilience guide here: https://lnkd.in/gThdYf9W

Data doesn’t become revenue just because you collect it. You probably have: 🔹 Shipment tracking from 6 platforms 🔹 Customer pricing in 3 currencies 🔹 PO data sitting in someone's inbox But turning that into revenue? That takes alignment. Here’s what works: 🔹 Connect ops and sales data to shorten lead times 🔹 Build cost-to-serve dashboards that finance can actually use 🔹 Give customers proactive updates before they ask You don’t need a bigger stack. You need better integration.

Freight forwarding still runs on email, Excel, and tribal knowledge. That’s not just inefficient—it’s risky. When your billing process depends on one person remembering to check a shared inbox, you’re building a bottleneck. Manual workarounds cost: 🔹 Time 🔹 Accuracy 🔹 Continuity when people leave How are you tackling manual workloads in your organization?

🎧 New episode alert! I was thrilled to join Brian Glick on the Chain.io #SupplyChainConnections podcast to talk about how COVID reshaped the way the supply chain world views marketing. We also dug into two of my favorite topics: why having a strong point of view is non-negotiable, and my upcoming Revenue Engine Workbook Tour. (And I had to take a minute to sing the praises of my brilliant co-founder, Will Haraway, and his uncanny ability to find the right sports anecdote for any situation!) If you're in supply chain, B2B, or just trying to tie your marketing efforts to actual outcomes, give it a listen. 🔗 Listen here: https://hubs.ly/Q03j91hW0 And anyone intrigued by the Revenue Engine Workshop Tour can find more info and register here: https://hubs.ly/Q03j8-CF0 #B2B #SupplyChain #GTM #TheRevenueEngine #Leadership

What’s the number one thing trade compliance pros want from tech teams? Clean, complete, and contextual data. Trade compliance doesn’t fail because people don’t understand the rules. It fails because the right data doesn’t arrive at the right time. What we hear from compliance teams: “I’m digging through PDFs for basic product info.” “We can't automate filings because the data's incomplete.” “Nobody owns the source of truth across systems.” If you’re building tech or processes to support compliance, focus here: 🔹 Give context: show which system a value came from and when. 🔹 Support auditing: make every field traceable. 🔹 Speak their language: they don’t need a data lake, they need a clean HTS code. Supporting trade compliance starts with getting the data foundation right. (Chain.io can help.)

For supply chain pros, tariff changes are emergency meetings and margin risks. When tariffs shift, someone has to: 🔹 Reclassify thousands of SKUs 🔹 Reroute cargo to avoid extra duty 🔹 Reprice orders that already shipped 🔹 Explain to the CFO why landed costs just jumped 20% This isn’t strategy. It’s triage. We’ve seen firsthand how teams have to dedicate major time and resources to react to these chaotic trade policy shifts, so we put together a guide for building supply chains that can be as agile as your teams when tariffs shift. Kara Smith Brown has helped hundreds of logistics companies build go-to-market engines that actually drive growth. In our latest episode of Supply Chain Connections, she joins Chain.io CEO Brian Glick to talk about what’s changed in the industry—and what still hasn’t. They dig into: 🔹 Why most LSPs still waste time chasing the wrong customers 🔹 The power of having a clear, confident point of view 🔹 What intent data really is and how logistics teams can use it Tune into their discussion here: https://lnkd.in/gKTy7E5p
