What a conference!
Last weekend, the University of Missouri-Kansas City hosted the second annual SCALE Conference. Co-presented by the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, UMKC's Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Millikin University, the SCALE Conference is designed to help student creatives and artists gain the skills and knowledge they need to launch and manage successful entrepreneurial careers.
This year featured two jam-packed days filled with insightful workshops, panels, guest speakers, networking, and more! Topics ranged from marketing yourself as a young artist to budgeting, pricing, legal tips, and beyond. The weekend culminated in a pitch competition, where one of Saint Louis University's very own, Abby Van Vooren, was a winner!
We want to thank UMKC for doing such a fantastic job hosting this year’s conference, as well as the incredible team who made it happen: Lewis Sheats, Hayley Johnston, MSW, Andy Heise, Laura Moore, Jessa Wilcoxen, Julienne Shields, Becky Nims, and Megan Larson.
We can’t wait for next year’s conference at Millikin University!
