In December 2016, I took a leap of faith and opened my American Family agency—a decision that would change my life. I’d just poured the last of my summer sales earnings into this opportunity, and while I tried to project confidence, I was quietly grappling with fear. Fear of failure. Fear of stepping into an industry I was still learning. Fear of letting down the people who believed in me. But that fear lit a fire in me. It pushed me to give everything I had, not just for myself but for those who had trusted me to succeed. By the end of 2017, we hit an incredible milestone—becoming one of the top newer agents (agents with 4 years or less in the industry) in the entire state of Utah. It was the validation we needed to know we were heading in the right direction, and we’ve been growing ever since. Now, as I look back eight years later, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing team members who’ve joined me along the way. Today, we’re a strong team of seven, managing nearly 6,000 policies at Cortney Gregory & Associates, Inc. As we move toward 2025, I’m filled with excitement and optimism—it’s going to be our best year yet.
