Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) was honored to be a sponsor of the 33rd Annual Salute to the United States Coast Guard Dinner, hosted by Propeller Club - Port of Tampa. The evening celebrated the extraordinary efforts of active-duty Coast Guard members on Florida's west coast who went above and beyond the call of duty in 2024, particularly before, during, and after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. CGMA had the privilege of connecting with active-duty members, retirees, Auxiliarists, Reservists, and leaders from the commercial marine industry. We heard countless stories from clients of how CGMA was able to provide support during those challenging days after the storms—reinforcing our motto: Helping Our Own. Spreading the Mission of CGMA On Friday night, Jenna Nichols, CGMA’s Special Events Coordinator, had the privilege of speaking at the 2025 Outer Banks Flotilla Kickoff the Year Gala & 50th Anniversary Celebration to an incredible group of 60 attendees. The audience included the OBX Flotilla Commander, members of the Auxiliary's Elizabeth City Flotilla, Active-Duty personnel from Oregon Inlet and Ant Wanchese stations, and 10 retired Coast Guard men and women. Jenna shared CGMA’s mission, distributed information cards, and connected with attendees who expressed their gratitude for the Mutual Assistance’ impactful work. The evening highlighted the strong sense of community and support within the Coast Guard family. The event also brought a generous $200 donation from one of the guests, further fueling CGMA’s mission to assist Coast Guard members and their families.
