Last week ended with a bang, with Illinois’ first UniSpace cases…specifically, in Chicagoland. 3D printed Ti is quickly becoming the standard for anterior cervical fusion. With that, there are some key factors. Ease of insertion? Is the internal geometry of the cage set up in a way to get maximum osseointegration promotion? How much do your screws bite?…just to name a few. ? ? ? I could add more checks here, but you get the idea. We’re fortunate enough to work with Dr Vivek Mohan, in the Chicago area, who helped with our two case clinical study for UniSpace.(disclaimer:this was not a real clinical study. We just did two cases) 1st case-singl level ACDF 2nd case-single level revision ACDF, non-union C6-7 with kyphosis, previous allograft interbody was revised.
