Thank you to all who supported Nicholas.
In 2020, 21-year old Kent State student, Nicholas Giancola passed away unexpectedly. Unbeknownst to his family, Nicholas had registered as an organ, eye, and tissue donor. Even thought they were unaware of his decision, they weren’t surprised to learn of it. Of course Nicholas wanted to give the ultimate gift. Although Nicholas’ gifts couldn’t be recovered due to various circumstances, Lifebanc still honors him as a hero and a “donor in spirit.” On December 9, Crossfit Distinction held “The Mouth” Memorial WOD with proceeds supporting Lifebanc’s programming. Nicholas’ father encouraged the dozens of athletes to follow Nicholas’ example and do two things: register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor and make a financial gift to Lifebanc. Lifebanc extends a heartfelt thank you to the Giancola family, Crossfit Distinction athletes and for Nicholas, who made the decision to register as organ, eye, and tissue donor. Nick Giancola
