CFTH opposes SB 241 because it threatens the proven strategies that are reducing homelessness in Houston. Since 2021, we’ve successfully decommissioned over 120 encampments and helped 550+ individuals find a path to housing. This progress is possible because of strategic partnerships, outreach, and funding - not short-term displacement. As our Director of Public Affairs, Jamey Caruthers, testified, SB 241 would shift resources away from housing and services and toward a reactive approach that doesn’t solve homelessness. We need evidence-based solutions that work, not policies that set us back. ?? Take action: Contact your state representatives and urge them to vote NO on SB 241. Let’s keep investing in real, long-term solutions. #SB241 #HomelessnessSolutions #HousingWorks
