We offer a variety of programs and resources, with the CFL Consulting Program being a cornerstone of our efforts to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice. CFL Consulting Program: Hands-On Experience: Our consulting program provides students with the opportunity to work on real projects for local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations. These projects allow students to apply their academic knowledge to solve practical challenges, gaining invaluable experience in the process. Professional Mentorship: Students in the consulting program receive guidance and support from experienced professionals and faculty mentors. This mentorship helps students refine their consulting skills and develop a deep understanding of effective leadership practices. Team Collaboration: Working in diverse teams, students learn to navigate different perspectives and leverage their collective strengths to deliver impactful solutions. This collaborative approach prepares them for the complexities of the modern workplace. Skill Development: Through the consulting program, students enhance essential skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and project management. These skills are crucial for success in any leadership role.

This fall we did a project with Hope College & CFL at Hope College and worked with a group of amazing students. We partnered with our fantastic investor and customer Northgate Resorts & Campspot. We took 5,000 candidate Wedge videos (avg. 5 minutes per video) and did a full blown data study analyzing trends, patterns, and outcomes of completed Wedge videos and hiring outcomes (whether the candidates got hired or not). Below is a fascinating report that highlights the most commonly used words that candidates said in an interview. Removing stop words (the, as, is, etc.) the model identified the most commonly used words. #1. People #2. Job #3. Time #4. Love #5. Person On any given month we are processing 10,000s+ video interviews across our companies and 100,000s+ annually - the data behind this is amazing. Many more outcomes and learnings to follow. This is just the beginning. Our AI learnings and LLMs will continue to learn from the data we collect. Zachary Bossenbroek, Tim Creamer, SHRM-SCP, Douglas Ruch (and the rest of the Hope crew) thank you for your support!

The CFL student team, made up of talented math, computer science, and statistics majors, developed a predictive model to analyze interview transcripts and assess the potential for forecasting hiring outcomes. An impressive blend of data analysis and innovation! The best part, they got to work with a CFL alum Matt Baxter from Wedge.
