Meet Katie Murphy (Young), one of our remarkable Emerging Leaders board members! Katie brings a wealth of experience and passion to our mission of ending hunger in New Jersey. ? Here’s what Katie has to say about her work and commitment to CFBNJ: My current role is Senior Manager of Business Continuity at C&S Wholesale Grocers. I am responsible for ensuring the company can maintain its operations and our customers (grocery stores, mostly) can get their product when there are disruptions (e.g. hurricanes, winter storms, etc.). ? Being on the board of the Emerging Leaders allows me to have a bigger impact within the Community Foodbank of New Jersey. Hunger is a hidden issue in our communities --?it's difficult to think about children going to bed hungry, people worrying about where their next meal will come from, or how they will pay for groceries. Food access, including healthy and affordable food, is an important issue to me. It's great to support an organization that plays such a critical role in supporting communities and families, and to meet others who are passionate about CBFNJ's mission too.? ?
