Fifty years ago, civil rights leader Cesar Chavez ignited a movement that would transform communities by championing the rights of farmworkers, Latinos, and working families. He believed it was important to support them through numerous programs, including the burial program, credit union, and cooperative gas stations. Today, the Cesar Chavez Foundation (CCF) carries on Cesar's legacy of uplifting the lives of Latinos and working families by inspiring and transforming communities through social enterprises that address essential human, cultural and community needs. CCF serves hundreds of thousands of individuals through affordable housing development, education, broadcast programming, and the National Chavez Center. With more than 600 employees across six states, CCF provides vital community services while remaining sustainable, strategic, and fiscally responsible

Jane Fonda, a 2024 Cesar Chavez Legacy Award recipient, shared a powerful message while receiving the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. Jane has been a fierce advocate for many worthy causes. In August 1975, Jane joined Cesar Chavez for part of his 1,000-mile march, taking word to farm workers of their newly won rights under the landmark state farm labor law. Our Education Fund team took part in this year's California Site Coordinator Symposium (CAN) in Sacramento! ?? ?? Similar to their powerful curriculum, they weaved education and fun as they facilitated educational sessions. They also sponsored CAN's first-ever Paint N Sip Networking Reception. ?? Dr. Victor Gonzalez-Diaz, our Director of Programs and Innovation, hosted virtual and in-person sessions to prepare district leaders and coordinators to evaluate curriculum for facilitator and student success.
