KU provost and executive vice chancellor Barbara A. Bichelmeyer is one of twelve honorees for this year's I Am First Too program, from Center for Educational Opportunity Programs. Other honorees include: KU faculty and staff members Hong Chuong, assistant director with AAI; Alex Hernández-Castro, associate director of TRIO SES & STEM, and Laura Ramirez, associate professor of the practice of social welfare. The group showcased how one TRIO program within the The University of Kansas was able to give TRIO students an unforgettable and valuable study abroad opportunity in Stellenbosch, South Africa. #TRIOworks
