AARP taps Myechia Minter-Jordan, MD, MBA to lead; David Grindle gets top role at the International Association of Fairs & Expositions; more #association departures and arrivals at CEOUpdate.com. Minter-Jordan will join AARP from the national nonprofit CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, where she has served as president and CEO since 2020. She also helmed community health center The Dimock Center for over six years. Grindle has led SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) since 2022. He previously spent over 12 years at USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology), most recently as executive director. #CEOUpdate

Maietta most recently was the chief communications officer and senior counselor to the CEO at the American Clean Power Association (ACP). Her appointment marks a return to the organization where she was previously executive vice president of communications and president and CEO of the AHLA Foundation. Schuster, who joined AIChE over 16 years ago, had led the group as CEO and executive director since April 2022. The group will be conducting a nationwide search for her successor. #CEOUpdate

Dan R. Brouillette steps down as leader of the Edison Electric Institute; Cheryl Holcomb-McCoy appointed president and CEO of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE); more #association departures and arrivals at CEOUpdate.com. Brouillette, the former U.S. Secretary of Energy during the Trump administration, succeeded longtime EEI leader Tom Kuhn last September. He cited the desire to focus on the "overarching issues facing our global energy landscape" in a statement announcing his departure. Holcomb-McCoy will join AACTE from the School of Education at American University, where she has served as distinguished professor and dean for over eight years.
