Ajit Pai named next leader of CTIA; Jim Riley to helm the Railway Supply Institute (RSI) ; more #association departures and arrivals at CEOUpdate.com. Pai will succeed Meredith Attwell Baker as president and CEO of CTIA in April. He will join the group from Searchlight Capital Partners. Previously, he was chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, where he spent nearly nine years. Riley joins RSI after seven years at the National Waste & Recycling Association, where he most recently served as chief counsel and senior vice president of government affairs. Earlier in his career, he spent over 16 years at the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). #CEOUpdate
