You should file Form 1040 or 1040-NR for each year you received a Form K1 and for each year going forward. Although you may have no income tax liability in the United States, you are still required to file. The deadline for filing Form 1040 this year is April 15, 2025. The deadline for filing Form 1040-NR this year is June 17, 2025. However, if you were an employee and received wages subject to U.S. income tax withholding in the year 2024, Form 1040NR must be filed by April 15, 2025.
