In 2020, the Central Bank of Brazil changed the face of digital transactions with the launch of Pix, an instant payment system now used by over 70 million Brazilians. In a recent documentary, Francisco Gaetani, Extraordinary Secretary of State Transformation outlined the core principles behind Pix's remarkable success: open-source software, interoperability, modularity, simplicity, transparency, and connectivity. These guiding principles have enabled Pix to redefine #DigitalPublicInfrastructure standards.
