?? The Centralia Elementary School District’s music program is hitting all the right notes for TK-6th graders at Buena Terra, Los Coyotes, Miller and San Marino. We’re all about building music skills—from reading notes to playing instruments. Right now, upper-grade students are jamming on piano, strings, ukulele, and band while learning new instruments and sharpening their techniques.?It’s going to be an amazing year watching our students grow. ?? At CESD, we know how important a healthy breakfast?is. That’s why our food services team has developed new scratch-made breakfasts. These meals are made with fresh ingredients, and not processed food, including award-winning CESD breakfast burritos and crowd-favorite breakfast bowls. At Dysinger Elementary, we’re all about shaping forward-thinking scholars with tech-savvy programs. For the second year, our 5th and 6th graders learned about cybersecurity and coding through the Superintendent’s Cup. Exciting News! Our elementary schools have partnered with Girls Inc. of Orange County to offer an after-school Entrepreneurship Club at all eight schools in our district. This co-ed after-school program teaches students business skills, money management and leadership. Danbrook Elementary is celebrating the success of their family learning program, Danbrook University! Led by our Literacy Coach, Julie Ellis, families continue to learn simple ways to boost literacy at home through bilingual workshops. This year, they're adding a leadership committee of parents to help plan workshops and even co-teach!
