Last week, CSWR CEO Josiah Cox and Senior Vice President Todd Thomas visited several CSWR water and wastewater systems in Florida to assess the impact of recent hurricanes and personally commend our operations team for their exceptional efforts in preparing for the storms. This visit provided a firsthand look at the robust execution of CSWR’s Emergency Response Protocol during Hurricanes Helene and Milton in September and October. While over 3.3 million Floridians experienced power outages during Milton, CSWR’s systems were seamlessly transitioned to backup generators before landfall, ensuring uninterrupted service for our customers. Additional resources were proactively sourced and transported from CSWR’s Emergency Response Center in Louisiana, and our dedicated “Storm Team”—comprising members from various departments and ground operations—worked tirelessly around the clock. Their coordination and communication before, during, and after the storms ensured we could swiftly monitor and respond to any challenges. When the storm clouds gathered, our teams rose to the occasion—demonstrating that no matter the weather, CSWR stands resilient, ready, and strong. #waterutilities #teamwork #emergencyresponse

Louisiana-based CSWR employees and our EH&S team recently completed a community service project in St. Tammany Parish and New Orleans' Northshore, areas rich in ecological significance. Carefully organized by CSWR EH&S Field Analyst Caleb Edwards, volunteers engaged families in discussions about the water cycle, the importance of preventing water pollution, and the water and wastewater industry, aiming to inspire future generations to protect our water resources. The team also marked storm drains in Eden Isles, reminding residents that only rain should flow into these drains. This project underscores CSWR's commitment to safeguarding waterways and making a lasting positive impact on both the environment and local communities.
