CMRPC Community Development Manager Christopher Dunphy was recently awarded a "Key to the Town" by the Warren Board of Selectmen, in recognition of his long service to that community. Working through the state?Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)?program, Chris has helped steer $15 million in nearly twenty grants to Warren, one of the top marks statewide. With local partners, Chris has helped oversee forty-plus projects in town. Highlights are a decade-long infrastructure effort in the broader School St. neighborhood, expansions at the Senior Center, accessibility work at storefronts in the Town Center, and upgrades at West Warren’s Dean Park. Chris began working on Warren’s CDBG efforts in 1999. Initially in town as one of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission’s staff, Chris came to CMRPC in 2021 and has helped grow our CDBG capacity in several towns. Since joining CMRPC, he has expanded into roles on Warren’s?Hazard Mitigation Plan,?Master Plan, ADA Plan, and successful applications to the Community One Stop for Growth program. Now semi-retired, Chris remains a key member of CMRPC’s team and is working with Warren on its next CDBG application. A well-deserved congratulations to Chris!
