Sabrina is part of a Great Lakes shipping company, one of the few remaining to employ steam technology in commercial ships. Raised in the industry and surrounded by ships her entire life, Sabrina graduated from the Great Lakes Maritime Academy, earning her license as a steam marine engineer with unlimited horsepower. It’s been a great 2024 Cruise Season working alongside Port Milwaukee and serving as agents for wonderful vessels such as Le Bellot. Port Milwaukee will officially conclude its 2024 cruise season on Sunday, October 13, with the arrival of the Le Bellot, a Ponant cruise ship. Port Milwaukee kicked off its cruise season on May 1, 2024, with the arrival of the Viking Octantis. This year’s cruise season saw 27 visits by seven vessels between early May and mid-October. Port officials estimated over 12,000 global passengers would visit Milwaukee this season. Final numbers will be released once the season concludes. On October 13, Le Bellot will arrive at Pier Wisconsin around 7 a.m. and is scheduled to depart Port Milwaukee around 6 p.m. Arrival and departure times are subject to change. It is with heavy hearts and very deep sadness that we inform you of the sudden passing of our Vice President and friend, Aaron Bensinger, on the morning of October 1, 2024. Many that knew Aaron knew him as an Agent and an expert on all things maritime, a fine culinarian, an excellent leader, a talented businessman, a trusting friend, a family man, but most importantly a wonderful soul. Aaron’s life was full of purpose as every task and encounter that he had was filled with meaning and intention. We will all miss him more than words can express. Aaron’s celebration of life is planned for Saturday, October 5th at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home in Oak Lawn, Illinois. In preparing for this service, we’d love to hear your best memory of him to spread his joy. Aaron, we will miss you so much. You leave a void that can never be filled. You will never be forgotten and we will cherish the memories we had with you forever. Rest in Peace, we will take good care of everything down here for you. We love you.
