Over the next nine months, they’ll receive hands-on training to become surgical technologists—the essential professionals who ensure a sterile, organized, and efficient environment in the OR. This unique program allows trainees to earn while they learn, with a raise upon certification and transition into their new roles. Jacqueline and Mackaylee are the second pair of team members to take this exciting step, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to support them on their journey! March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and the CMH Endoscopy team is encouraging everyone to take action! Colon cancer is the second most common cancer in females and third in males, with rising cases among younger adults. But screenings save lives. ?? Early detection is key – most colon cancers start as noncancerous polyps that can be removed before they become dangerous. ?? Doctors now recommend screening starting at age 45. ?? She has consistently embodied our core values, making her an invaluable part of the team and a true role model. During a critical time of transition in our acute rehabilitation unit (ARU), Macey took on additional responsibilities, ensuring a smooth management restructure. She also played a key role in helping streamline communication and transitions between departments. Her commitment was especially evident during the CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) certification survey, where her quick thinking and support helped maintain the high standards needed for certification.
