ICYMI: Florida Polytechnic University and Catapult Lakeland, Inc. have partnered to continue driving forward innovation in Polk County and enhancing the other's ability to do so. Through this strategic partnership, Florida Poly students will have special access to Catapult's Makerspace, which is designed for entrepreneurs looking to start/scale manufacturing and engineering companies. Both Catapult and Florida Poly will be able to share valuable resources- Florida Poly brings technical expertise, research capabilities along with their 3D print farm, and provides talent (the students). Thank you to all who attended our February Investor Meeting- what a great way to kick off our 2025 investor meeting calendar! We were able to hear from Bank of Central Florida, our amazing hosts, and learn more about SOLID START, INC., who opened their facility to us for the meeting and gave tours to any interested guests afterwards. Further showcasing the CFDC's Sites Initiative, Emery Smith, Vice Chair of the CFDC Board & Executive Vice President for Ben Hill Griffin (BHG), along with Alex Delannoy, Vice President of Brokerage for The Ruthvens shared the story of how the Frostproof Business Park, a BHG-owned property in Polk County, went through Duke Energy's site readiness process and is now ready to welcome new industrial job creators.
