?? Bipartisan Support for CDFIs in Deputy Treasury Secretary Nomination Hearing During the recent nomination hearing for Deputy Treasury Secretary nominee Michael Faulkender, Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) emphasized the critical role of CDFIs in supporting underserved communities. Notably, Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) echoed this sentiment, reinforcing the bipartisan recognition of the importance of CDFIs in expanding economic opportunity. As the voice of mission-driven banks, CDBA is encouraged to see strong bipartisan support for the CDFI industry. We appreciate the thoughtful discussion in this hearing and will continue to advocate for policies that empower CDFI banks to serve communities that need them most. #CDFIs #CommunityDevelopment #BipartisanSupport #EconomicOpportunity #CDBA

In 1994, Elvira's Cakes started as a dream in Elvira’s kitchen. Nearly a decade of passion and hard work later, she opened her bakery in 2003—bringing authentic Mexican pan dulce, conchas, and tres leches cakes to our community. As a proud woman-owned business, Elvira's is a testament to perseverance and tradition. We’re honored to support her journey at Central Bank of Kansas City and celebrate the local businesses that make our community thrive! Stop by for a sweet taste of success! ??? #WomenOwned #CommunityBanking #SupportLocal #MexicanBakery #SmallBusinessSuccess

Our team of six bankers had a blast yesterday competing in the Cash Cup Challenge at Hy-Vee Arena, alongside seven other banks—all in support of Down Syndrome Innovations! It was a fun-filled day of team-building, networking, and friendly competition, with games that felt like a “Field Day as a Kid, but for grown-ups!” A big thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success. We’re already looking forward to next year! ????
