Recently, CenterState CEO's Ambassadors, sponsored by sfcu - Sidney Federal Credit Union, took time out to volunteer for the Food Bank of Central New York. There, they packaged 1,100 three course food bundles for the Syracuse City School District and learned more about what the nonprofit does to serve our community. The Food Bank of Central New York services 11 counties and more than 178,000 people facing food insecurity. During its last fiscal year, volunteers helped in the distribution of 22 million pounds of food! The Food Bank of Central New York was also recognized as CenterState CEO's 2024 Business of the Year in the nonprofit category. CenterState CEO thanks all participating Ambassadors for giving back to our region. Pictured: A. I took some time this past Friday to volunteer with my fellow CenterState CEO ambassadors at the Food Bank of Central New York… what an incredible way to give back to our community here in Syracuse! This was a very eye opening experience for me, and I plan to pledge a portion of my real estate proceeds to the Food Bank moving forward!

Among the many things I'm grateful for this Thanksgiving holiday are a dedicated team, a community full of talented entrepreneurs, and partners that help us connect the two ?? We recently graduated another cohort of our Start It! Business Basics class - an awesome group of individuals with the creativity, drive, and passion to succeed in business. To be in their presence is to get a front-row seat to the great things to come in this region. Not just future retailers, restaurants, food trucks, contractors, artists... but employers, property owners, and pillars of the community. I'm grateful to them, and to my colleagues at CenterState CEO for helping this all come together - especially Gregory D. Ayers, MPA, Erik Jankowski, and Brandon Mastrangelo, for their commitment to the Start It! training program. And none of it would be possible without the support of KeyBank (I'm looking at you, Tamika Goode-Otis) and the The Build from Within Alliance.
