Our Life Services and Brain Health Adult Day Services daily programming includes educational and interactive activities called tracs. Tracs include pet, horticulture, art, and music therapy, fitness classes, sensory experiences, nutrition and cooking opportunities, community integrated outings, multicultural and seasonal activities, and more. Often, tracs are ways clients can honor different cultural events, learn about current events and celebrate diverse cultures. Throughout February, we honored #BlackHistoryMonth in music and art therapy and makerspace tracs. We learned about influential Black musicians by viewing documentaries, listening to music, playing instruments and singing. We also attended a Black History Month community program, which featured performers, speakers, games and traditional recipes. In art therapy, we learned about the history and influence of Black artists while expressing creativity, gaining confidence, and finding emotional stability. The photos are some of the art CFI Day Services clients created during February in our Adult Day Services.
