Congratulations to our President & CEO, Topher Hansen, on receiving the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s Lifetime Achievement Award! This honor recognizes his decades of dedication to the behavioral health field. As he prepares to retire this year, we’re grateful for his leadership and the lasting impact he’s had on CenterPointe and the community. He will officially receive this award in May at #NatCon.
Each year at our annual conference, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing honors outstanding individuals and organizations through our Awards of Excellence program for their dedication to excellence in mental health and substance use treatment and care. Managing the Awards of Excellence program is one of the most rewarding parts of my job! It's an honor to serve these incredible recipients, getting to know them on a personal level, and celebrating their achievements at #NatCon. This year, we're excited to host the event in Philadelphia, May 5 - 7, 2025! Event Link: https://lnkd.in/g-KXXN4Y ??CONGRATULATIONS to our 2025 Awards of Excellence recipients!??

A few months ago, Ben was caught in a cycle-moving between hospitals, the Crisis Center, and jail. Managing his mental health felt impossible. But last fall, he joined CenterPointe’s Partnership in Empowerment and Recovery (PIER) program, which provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support for people living with severe and persistent mental illness. With the right care and guidance, Ben found stability and a renewed sense of purpose. He enrolled in classes at a community college with the goal of becoming a counselor and started a part-time job. His hard work soon paid off-he was recently awarded a full-ride scholarship that will cover his tuition as he earns his associate’s degree in psychology. When you attend CenterPointe’s Strong Communities Luncheon, you make success stories like Ben’s possible. Proceeds from this event directly support CenterPointe, ensuring more people have access to vital healthcare and resources they need to rebuild their lives. ?? Date: April 8, 2025 ?? Location: 1040 P St., Lincoln, NE ??? Tickets: https://lnkd.in/gdSsdBRc Secure your seat today and be part of this life-changing work!

New blog post alert! At CenterPointe, we use evidence-based practices to provide the best possible care, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a key part of that approach. MI is a collaborative, person-centered technique that helps individuals explore their own motivations for change, rather than being told what to do. It fosters trust, engagement, and lasting progress. Kurt Lockard, our Community Development and Training Coordinator, shares how MI has shaped his work and how CenterPointe integrates this approach across our programs to empower both staff and the people we serve.
