We all want to work smarter and so do our natural gas meters! That’s why in Minnesota we’ve been investing in installing smart natural gas meters at our customers’ homes. Not only do they reduce visual impact since they’re smaller than traditional meters, they also have advanced safety features and allow for remote shutoff in case of emergencies. Our Customer Service (CS) Learning team is honored to be the recipient of a Brandon Hall Group gold medal for their Service Excellence Training (SET) and coaching program. CS Learning’s SET and coaching program was recognized as a best practice in the Sales Performance category, demonstrating an impact in increased sales revenue (close rates). The CS Learning team will be honored at BHG’s HCM Excellence conference and gala in January 2025 and will receive a special commemorative award. Congratulations to the team for their efforts in providing agents a framework for improvement and motivation to continue to contribute to our customers’ highest levels of satisfaction.

We had a tree-mendously fun time this past weekend at the annual Nurture Nature Festival in Baytown! Between exciting games and activities, festivalgoers learned about the importance of planting the right tree in the right place while we handed out 1,000 bare root seedlings.

As part of our #mutualassistance work, our Transmission teams helped Georgia Power repair transmission lines damaged by #HurricaneHelene. These lines carry power across distances at a high voltage and these repairs were vital to restoration efforts. #EEI #UnityofEffort
