Gays Against Groomers (GAG) is well-known by local organizations as a harmful organization to the LGBTQIA+ community, transphobic, and has been deemed an extremist hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Center on Colfax was shocked and disappointed to learn that Gays Against Groomers was honored with a Colorado state flag. We appreciate Governor Polis' swift action to retract the action and scrutinize the process that allowed this group to appear awarded and supported by our great state. The Center on Colfax condemns Gays Against Groomers, their deceptive practices, and their harmful actions in this situation and others. We urge the Governor to recognize Gays Against Groomers' damaging behaviors and denounce the organization and their manipulative work.
