Thank you Nour Demachkie for sharing your learnings during #BrainHealthWeek. It’s so important that younger generations understand what BrainHealth is, and how to prioritize it for their overall health.
Did you know women require approximately 23 minutes more sleep than men? ?? I learned this yesterday while having the stellar opportunity to attend the Empowering Women through Brainhealth Conference hosted by the Center for BrainHealth as a part of #BrainhealthWeek! ?? I am grateful to have witnessed some of the world's leading experts in their fields share their expertise on several topics on women's health such as sleep ????, perimenopause and menopause ???? , the Mediterranean diet ????, the continuing transformative world of AI?? , and how they all relate to women's health. An inspirational panel of experts in their field Jessica Shepherd, MD, MBA, FACOG, Annie Fenn, MD, Nina Miolane, PhD, and Matthew Walker, PhD answered curious questions by attendees about these topics and presented insightful presentations that stimulated crucial questions for the future of women's health. Thank you to Janet Koslovsky and Olivia Guerra for help making it possible for a student champion like myself to attend and have the opportunity to network with experts in my field of study: Neuropsychology. Brainhealth Week is almost over, but we're making every day count! Be sure to check out the Center for Brainhealth's instagram for more inspiring events! #BrainhealthWeek #BrainhealthRocks #UTD #BBS #CenterforBrainHealth

From first article: The Center for BrainHealth, a part of The University of Texas at Dallas, will host a week of education and interactive activities, kicking off Monday with the unveiling of a “brain recharge station” at the college’s library. Wednesday, a conference by Empowering Women through BrainHealth will lead experts to discuss new discoveries and advancements in women’s brain health across various life stages. A recent national survey conducted by the Center for BrainHealth reveals that while 90% of people recognize the brain’s capacity for improvement, nearly 75% are unaware of actionable steps to achieve brain gains. The Center’s BrainHealth week is an international initiative designed to cultivate public interest in brain science. Each March, participants organize events within their communities to highlight the influence of brain science on daily life. From second article: As you step into the room, a gentle hush envelopes, immediately setting a tranquil tone. The warm glow of ambient light casts gentle shadows. The harmonious blend of nature and light invites students to leave the digital world, offering a space where their minds can wander and recharge. The brain recharging station stands as a reminder of the importance of taking moments to pause and disconnect from the fast-paced demands of student life.
