March Madness is upon us, and the Indy deal community is fired up! We had a blast last eve at our annual Indianapolis Draft Party. Some of the brightest minds in M&A, and sports gambling, assembled to toast The Big Dance and strive for the ultimate bracket. ‘Tis the season - we enjoyed a festive Investment Committee yesterday! Our team captain Andrea Pedregon orchestrated another awesome Christmas party with great grub, fun gifts, ugly sweaters, and many laughs. A huge congrats to Tye Stebbins and Stephanie Douglass, CPA for taking home the ugliest and best sweater honors, respectively. It was a tight vote, but well deserved wins. As for the gift exchange, Michael Luciano will keep warm during this chilly Indiana winter with his Fireball and Faraz Abbasi blanket. Please let Troy Clark know if you are in the market for one of these cozy puppies and he can try and make it happen in time to get it under your tree. On Friday, our team had the privilege of volunteering to support Junior Achievement of Central Indiana at JA BizTown. We had a lot of fun working with the awesome students of Thomas Gregg and James Garfield Elementary Schools. JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town where students operate businesses and demonstrate / discuss free enterprise, citizen rights and fundamental community responsibilities. Students learn essential life skills, gain insights into financial literacy, and develop a basic understanding of the business world. It was good fun all around and we are thankful for the opportunity to support this wonderful local initiative. Also, contrary to the picture, Augie Pence was NOT elected Mayor. This week our team wrapped-up our spring Advisory Board and investor meetings. With the month of May approaching here in Indy, we leaned into our local racing culture and took to the track. It was a great time - raced a bit, toured the track, and had dinner with the current Formula 3/4 Director Scott Goodyear. Scott competed at 230+ mph for 11 years at our beloved Speedway. We are grateful for our advisors and investors. While proud of what we have built at Centerfield, we are lucky to surround ourselves with folks who always push us to improve and aim higher.
