Our Lynn Family Resource Center team was grateful to attend The Children's League of Massachusetts legislative briefing yesterday. Speakers shared impactful stories surrounding how FRC's have supported individuals and families to receive the resources they need across Massachusetts! ??

Every success has a story… ?? ?? Taina’s journey has been one of resilience, perseverance, and community support. From facing the uncertainty of housing instability to finding permanent housing through Centerboard, the road was not easy. But with unwavering determination and the incredible support of social workers, organizations, and advocates, she and her family found a place to call home. Through struggle came strength, and today, Taina is not only thriving but also being recognized for her dedication to serving others. Being nominated for the The Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus Black Excellence on the Hill Awards is truly humbling. Her journey has fueled her passion to uplift her community, and she continues to be inspired by those who work tirelessly to create meaningful change Taina and her family’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance, community, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to call home. Congratulations Ta?na Janvier, on your amazing accomplishments and thriving future- you’ll always be apart of our Centerboard Family ??

Thanks to the incredible work of our staff and volunteers, the Winter Warmth event on Saturday was an amazing experience! Families had the opportunity to pick up jackets and coats to keep them warm this winter season. ?????? We are so grateful and honored to be able to serve our community. Thank you to?Bridgewell?for collaborating with us on such an impactful afternoon.??

A heartfelt thank you to the Rotary club of Peabody for your generous and meaningful donation in honor of Reverend Bob and Ruth Barber. January Staff Spotlight! ??? Meet: CJ Gheringhelli (Finance Department Comptroller) Congrats on your 7 year anniversary with Centerboard coming up this month!?? ?? Check out the full interview! ?? Q: What is your current position with Centerboard and how long has it been since you started? A: I work in Finance as the “Comptroller”, which is just a sophisticated name for an accountant. I’m just about to reach my seven year anniversary with the company on January 29th! Q: What in your past or present made/makes you want to be in your current position at Centerboard? A: I’ve lived in Lynn my entire life, and am also a full time firefighter/EMT with the Lynn Fire Department (two wildly different positions, I know). I guess I just enjoy working in the community that I’m a part of. Q: What is your favorite hobby/ thing you enjoy to do outside of Centerboard/ fun fact about yourself? (You can do 1, 2 or all 3!) A: My wife and I had a daughter this past April, which has been so much fun and fulfilling for us these past nine months, and we love spending time with our family & friends. I also enjoy golfing & skiing any chance that I can. Q: What advice would you give to someone looking to better their lives? A: Sometimes we all get stuck in a rut, and It’s not easy, but I try to remind myself that it’s never too late to make a change to better your life. Just one small step at a time can make a huge difference in the long run.

I’m so disappointed I wasn’t able to attend Centerboard’s Holiday Wine Tasting party last night, but I’m thrilled that my coworker and her mom were able to go and had an amazing time! It’s always wonderful to see organizations like Centerboard bring people together for such a special evening, especially during the holiday season. Thank you so much for the invitation Machel Piper - I truly appreciate being part of a community that celebrates connection and joy.
