Yesterday, Winchester Community High School hosted an incredible site visit for state partners and other schools implementing a Pathways to Careers and Postsecondary (P-CAP) program including tours, classroom observations, and conversations with students and industry partners. The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting for their new P-CAP classroom space. Winchester Community High School and other P-CAP network schools are transforming the pathways of underserved students by providing them with learning experiences that are relationship-centered, hands-on, cross-curricular, and closely connected to industry and community partners. When stakeholders are engaged, there is a higher likelihood of impact. That’s why active participation in the Indiana Literacy Cadre is so important to student achievement. Instructional coaches and literacy Training Support Specialists (TSSs) have shown active participation in the Indiana Literacy Cadre. Their participation includes frequent meetings where coaches regularly receive guidance, support, and training from their literacy TSSs.? ?
