The Center Leader Academy was founded by Professor Gurpreet Jagpal and John Laurie, Ph.D. to provide a gold standard for center leader education and certification. Collectively, the CLA Team has over 75 years of international experience directing and leading entrepreneurship centers, holding leadership positions in both higher education and the private sector, including Pro Vice-Chancellor, Assistant Vice-Provost, Professor, Director, CEO and COO. Combined, they have secured over $100M in higher education funding and have won more than a dozen international awards. The CLA Center Leader Certification program provides comprehensive training in key areas, preparing individuals across disciplines to deal with the issues of starting a center and/or becoming a first-time administrator. We provide best-in-class knowledge and training in support of career development for entrepreneurship center leaders and those who aspire to be center leaders. The certification program is targeted to those who are new to or looking to transition into a role as an entrepreneurship Center Director. The program has been designed to introduce the fundamentals of running and growing a center, as this is applicable to those in an existing center and those who are looking to launch a new center.

Yesterday we had the pleasure in delivering the 5th annual Bootcamp for New Center Directors & Program Managers at the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers - GCEC Annual Confernce, hosted by Babson College. We had an incredible turnout with over 80 attendees, all eager to engage, learn, and share insights on how to overcome key challenges for new center directors. It was an interactive and dynamic session, with participants actively collaborating and discussing strategies for building high-impact programs with limited resources. Special thanks to Prof. Gurpreet Singh Jagpal, John Laurie, Ph.D., Misty Stutsman Fox, II Luscri and Steven Phelan for leading the charge with their wealth of experience.
