STEPS for Youth connects policymakers and youth-serving organizations with accurate, up-to-date developmental science to help them create more effective policies for young people. Earlier this month, Jennifer Pfeifer and Anthony Burrow, Co-Executive Directors of the National Scientific Council on #Adolescence (NSCA), joined Laura Wray-Lake, a UCLA Professor of Social Welfare and youth civic engagement researcher, to discuss ways that adults can support adolescents after elections. This online panel explored the recommendations outlined in the new NSCA resource, “Elections as Opportunities for Positive Adolescent Development,” and explained how #civicengagement can be a positive way for youth to meet some of their core developmental needs.
