Diana P Ortiz is the Executive Director and CEO of Doorways, a community-based nonprofit providing pathways out of homelessness, and domestic and sexual violence. Doorways has become the main provider for domestic and sexual violence response in Arlington County and has also accomplished the milestone of quickly transitioning to telehealth services which made their resources more accessible to everyone. Ortiz began her career working in intimate partner violence (IPV), crisis response, and trauma-informed care, and through it, found a community of people connected to a mission of advocacy and service. What keeps her going is being surrounded by people who care about a mission and want to impact the present and future in our community. When talking about the Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program, Ortiz says that the program helped her immensely since she started it during her first few weeks as the CEO of Doorways. She emphasized that although the time commitment was minimal, the return of it was tremendous. Overall, she describes her experience at the Certificate Program as a “life-changing opportunity.” To learn more about Doorways and our alum, Diana Ortiz, please visit: https://lnkd.in/dHxTukbr To meet more of our alumni of the Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program, please visit:?https://lnkd.in/d2WFsjYS
